Who am I?

My background is in architecture. For years, my job was designing the built environment, convinced that if you get a space right, people's experience of it follows. Turns out that's only half true. Hand someone a beautifully composed room and how they actually experience it still comes down to what's going on in their own head that day. A gorgeous space does nothing for someone who walks in anxious and distracted. An ordinary room can feel spacious to someone who's genuinely present in it. The room was never really in charge. The mind was.

That idea sat quietly in the back of my head for a long time. Then work, study and new fatherhood all landed on me at once, and meditation was what I reached for to find some balance through it. I realised that the space I actually needed to redesign wasn't out there in the world. It was the one within me. What started as a coping strategy turned into a genuine love of eastern philosophy and yoga, and I ended up training as a yoga teacher on the Apanaveda School of Yoga's 200hr IYN-certified course. I now live and teach yoga in Norwich, UK, still fascinated by the same question that got me here: why does the same room, the same week, the same life, feel completely different depending on the state of the mind experiencing it?

What do I do?

Group classes in Norwich. My Friday lunchtime yoga class at Yoga Tree, Norwich, is designed as a gentle weekly wind-down, especially for those new to yoga. It weaves classical sequences like the sun salutation with real space for stillness and awareness, offering a pause to soften and reconnect after the busyness of the week. Through breathwork, mindful movement and meditation, I guide students into the weekend with a sense of ease and presence.

1:1 stillness coaching, in Norwich or online. For anyone wanting to go further than a class can take them, I offer Stillness Coaching — six 1:1 sessions building the actual, embodied capacity for stillness, not just a calmer five minutes. It's structured, not vague: body, then breath, then the reactive mind, each session settling one real layer, grounded throughout in Patañjali's Yoga Sutras. Sessions run in person here in Norwich or online, wherever you are. It's coaching, not therapy, and it's built for people who are already managing real responsibilities well and want a steadier, clearer relationship with themselves underneath it all.
