IS THIS FOR YOU?
Who this is for
This tends to fit well if:
-
You've already done the books, the goal-setting, the affirmations and still feel like something's missing underneath all of it.
-
You sense that "getting more" isn't actually the answer, even if you can't yet say what is.
-
Open, formless stillness has never come easily to you. Instead you often have a racing mind, restlessness, or a tendency to hyperfocus hard on one thing rather than settle into nothing. Anchored, structured approaches are built into every session here, not offered as an afterthought for people who "can't meditate properly."
-
You're carrying real responsibilities such as work, family, people depending on you, and you're not looking to abandon any of them. This isn't about doing less. It's about doing what you already do with a looser grip.
-
You'd rather understand why something works than be told to just trust the process.
This is coaching, not therapy, counselling, or medical care, and it isn't built for acute crisis. If that's where you are right now, the right next step is a GP, a therapist, or a crisis service.
WHAT THIS ISN'T
This isn't about getting more
Most of the time, we chase surface answers to what we think we want such as a promotion, a better routine, one more skill. It might satisfy for a moment, but it rarely changes what's actually growing underneath. This isn't that kind of coaching. There's no new skill being added, no particular area of your life being optimised. The work is building an actual, embodied capacity to be still, genuinely still, not just relaxed for five minutes. What's underneath the chasing then has room to be heard.
THE DISTINCTION
Balance isn't stillness
Watch someone hold a balance posture well and from a distance it looks motionless. Up close, their standing leg never actually stops correcting, dozens of small adjustments a second. That's balance: real, valuable, worth cultivating, but it is not the deeper stillness underneath it. This programme honours the cultivation of balance, in the body and mind but makes it clear that this is not to be understood as the destination.
HOW IT WORKS
Six sessions
Not one instruction to "just be still", but a graded ladder, each session settling one real layer, grounded throughout in ancient yogic knowledge most notably, Patañjali's Yoga Sutras. Click any session for more.
The Foundations
Shared definitions before anything else is attempted. The yamas and niyama as the ground beneath the whole practice, and a personal agreement you write for yourself.
Annamaya Kośa — Āsana
The most accessible layer. What real steadiness actually means, not rigid holding, but continuous, graceful correction, achieved by loosening effort rather than gripping harder.
Prāṇamaya Kośa — Prāṇāyāma
The next layer, noticed precisely because the body has quieted. Stillness in the breath was never about stopping it. It is found in the pause already built into every cycle.
Manomaya Kośa — Pratyāhāra
The heart of the work. Watching a thought or impulse arise, watching the pull toward acting on it, and learning to let that gap exist without needing to close it.
Vijñānamaya Kośa — Saṃyama
Where even the watching itself becomes something that can be noticed. Named honestly as a horizon this stage points toward, not something six sessions claim to fully deliver.
Consolidation
A recap through the previous sessions and where we began with an honest reflection. Discussion of the toolkits on offer and aftercare packages.
